It’s amazing to see the Dubai of today vs the Dubai of just 20 years ago. How far this city has come in such a short time is nothing short of astonishing. From being home to the world’s tallest tower; Burj Khalifa and the Worlds only 7-star hotel; Burj Al Arab Dubai seems to have no limits.
With so much already accomplished, it would be only natural to assume that Dubai may be looking to take a break and relax for a little bit. The reality however, couldn’t be further from the truth. Let’s take a look at some of the newest real estate projects currently underway in this fascinating city.
Dubai Hills Estate
Located on the corner of Al Khali and Umm Suqeim rd the Dubai Hills Estate project is a collaboration between Emaar Properties and Meraas. Once completed this mega project will be one of the most well put together and family-friendly communities Dubai has to offer. The final product will include a new mall, 3 schools, 2 hospitals, an 18 hole Championship Golf Course as well a business district.
In terms of residential development buying opportunities, Dubai Hills Estate will feature a wider range of low and mid-rise apartment buildings and an extensive range of luxury townhouses and large villas. Apartment prices in the area will range between $200,000 up to 1 million whilst villa prices will start at 600,000 up to 25 million plus.
Madinat Jumeirah Living
Developed by one of Dubai’s largest developers; Dubai Holding, the Madinat Jumeirah Living project is one of the most exciting development to enter the market this year. Located right across the rd from Burj Al Arab and Madinat it features superb transport links whilst being less than 2 minutes away from the Mall of The Emirates.
Set to feature a total of 57 low rise residential building the Madinat Jumeirah Living project offers a range 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom options. One of the most unique features of the development will be the fact that it will be completely car-free. This is thanks to a huge basement which will contain parking for all the buildings in a particular cluster. A car-free environment will ensure this development is filled with paths and pedestrian laneways making it very family friendly.
La Cote at Port de La Mer
La Cote by Meraas is the first project in the newly released freehold community in Jumeirah 1 – Port de La Mer. Inspired by the character seaside towns of the Mediterranean, this newly announced master development is truly a first of its kind.
Set around a 180+ berth marina and promenade the Port de La Mer community will feature a range of low rise residential buildings home to a range of luxury 1, 2 3 and 4 bedroom apartments. The completion date for this project has been set as December 2021.
Dubai Creek Harbour
Widely regarded as the new center of Dubai, the Dubai Creek Habrour project is a new master development by Dubai Holding and Emaar Properties. Once complete it will cover an area of over 6 sq km and be home to the world’s tallest structure; Dubai Creek Tower and the world’s largest mall; Dubai Square.
Residential buying opportunities at Dubai Creek Harbour lay mainly on the island district which will be home to a total of 27 towers and at least 2 hotels. Outside of the Island District, the Dubai Creek Harbour master plan contains an additional 8 districts which includes the Park and Business districts.
