I felt in love with this tree and if I can take care of one, you can too. Although fiddle leaf figs are reasonably low-maintenance plants, I insist on tried and true methods for keeping them happy and healthy.

Water

Water your tree only when the top inch of soil is dry. The easiest way to tell if the soil is dry is to stick your finger in the pot. Temperature and humidity in your house or apartment will affect how quickly the soil dries. After some time, you will have a sense of how often that happens and you will know when you need to water your plant. Pay extra attention in summer and winter seasons, you may need to adjust your schedule.

Light

Pace your fiddle leaf fig trees in a spot where they will get plenty of light for as much of the day as possible. Make sure that the trees are getting indirect sun, otherwise the sun will damage the leaves.

Food

Fertilize once a month during growing seasons, but not in winter season.

Cleaning the Leaves

Because of their large surface, fig leaves tend to collect a lot of dust. You can wipe dust off with a soft damp cloth – duster and old cotton t-shirts can be perfect for this. Rinse your fig trees in the shower with lukewarm water once or twice a year.

Repotting or Trimming the Root Ball

When roots of the tree begin to grow out of the bottom of the pot, either trim the rootball or re-pot into a bigger container.

Here are some amazing ways of how some people have incorporated this tree in their interiors:
