  1. Drink lots of water.

Most people don’t drink nearly enough water. In fact, most people are dehydrated and mistake it for hunger. To stay in the clear zone, drink half of your body weight in ounces. Water keeps the body satiated and satisfied. As long as you continue to drink, your body will continue to want more because it thrives on water. In the morning, drink a glass of lemon water. To make it more potent, add a few drops of an essential oil.

An essential oil like lemon oil is known to be good for weight loss.

  1. Eat tons of healthy fruits and vegetables.

After a really great workout, fill your stomach up with a delicious meal-replacement smoothie. Pair vegetables like spinach and kale with mangos and strawberries for a delicious blend. Eat at least one giant salad a day. A cup of spinach is less than ten calories. If you fill your stomach with loads of vegetables, you’ll gain the nutrients you need and you’ll lose weight quicker since vegetables are low in calories. Replace regular pasta with zucchini noodles. Replace white rice with cauliflower rice. Instead of a big bowl of ice cream, try nice cream (banana base) and reduce your caloric intake.

  1. Consume healthy nuts, grains and complex carbohydrates.

Chia seeds are tiny, but pack a lot of nutrients. Pour a tablespoon of the seeds into your morning smoothie for energy, fiber and other nutrients. Almonds are an excellent snack before a workout and provide protein. Quinoa is a protein and complex carbohydrate. Use it to replace white rice as a much healthier alternative.

  1. Get lots of sleep.

When you’re working on a weight loss goal, it’s best to get eight to ten hours of sleep. Your body needs a chance to repair and restore itself. Create a nighttime routine and get into bed before 11 p.m. for optimal rest.

  1. Stay active.

When some people carry a lot of weight and try to go jogging, they experience shin splints and pain in the lower extremities. The very act they need to do to lose weight is more difficult because of the weight. This is why it’s important to be strict with the other rules first. However, still do your best to be active on a regular basis. In the morning and evening, go for a walk around the neighborhood. Work up to walking a few miles at a time. As you continue to get stronger, jog, do dance classes and go to a spin class. Try different exercises to get your body in the right condition.

With each tip, it’s best to maximize its benefits. Always look for ways to improve. When you become intentional at milking the benefits out of each step, your body will look better and feel better. It’s also wise to remember to stay in it for the long haul. You didn’t gain the weight in two weeks and you won’t lose it in two weeks either. Give yourself two months to start seeing progress. As your body adjusts, it’ll continue to allow the pounds to melt away.
