When you say France, the first thing that comes to mind are Paris and the Eiffel Tower or in French La Tour Eiffel. The Eiffel Tower is an iron tower built on the Champ de Mars fields on the River Seine. It is the tallest structure in Paris and among the most recognizable symbols in the world. It’s named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel and today is one of the most visited tourist attractions. The tower is 300 meters high and has 75 floors. Together with the 24-m antenna is 324 meters high. Made in 1889, the tower was the highest structure until 1930, when it was built Chrysler building in New York.
