You can express your artistic side by mixing and matching tropical plants, perennials and colorful annuals in containers.

Go Tropical

Pick some large containers or tubs with some tropical beauties and give a new look to your backyard space. These plants can make your swimming pool more inviting and your entire outdoor space more attractive. Pink tropical hibiscus and red mandevilla are always a good choice.

The Power of One

You don’t have to mix different type of plants and flowers together to create a great container. Make a bold statement by choosing different colors of a single variety in the same pot. Petchoas and petunias can make your yard cheerful and fun, but they prefer at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day.

The Layered Look

For big impact, you can mix plants and flowers of different shapes together in the same planter. Creeping Jenny, calibrachoa and coleus look fascinating when are planted in one pot.

Tower of Flowers

Charming vertical planters are often used to brighten up an entry, walkway or to create privacy on an exposed patio or deck. You can use cordyline, dianthus, golden creeping Jenny, asparagus fern, snapdragon, calibrachoa, delphinium and a small palm and make a statement in your landscape.
